Emirates to revive flight capability to India at pre-Covid ranges from Apr 1

New Delhi: Dubai-headquartered worldwide service Emirates has introduced restoration of its flight schedule to full capability to all its locations throughout India, from April 1.
Emirates, one of many largest airways on the planet and one among two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates, will likely be working 170 flights weekly to 9 Indian cities together with, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru.

The airline on Friday stated it’s trying to “re-introduce pre-pandemic flight frequencies” to all Indian locations on its community from April 2022.

The announcement assumes significance as India is ready to renew common worldwide flight operations to and from the nation from March 27, for the primary time in practically two years.

The airline’s most frequent flight service in India will stay Mumbai with 35 weekly flights. Emirates will function its A380superjumbo every day on this route, servicing flight numbers EK500 and EK501.

The Civil Aviation Ministry on March 8 introduced that it’ll resume common worldwide flight operations from March 27.

“After having acknowledged the elevated vaccination protection throughout the globe and in session with the stakeholders, the Authorities of India has determined to renew scheduled industrial worldwide passenger providers to/from India from 27.03.2022, i.e. begin of Summer season Schedule 2022. The suspension of scheduled industrial inter-national passenger providers to/from India, thus, stands prolonged solely as much as 2359 hrs IST on 26.03.2022 and air bubble preparations shall accordingly be prolonged to this extent solely,” the ministry stated in an announcement.

Notably, Emirates has already introduced again the every day Airbus A380 flights connecting Dubai and Mumbai this month.

The airline, after 35 flights weekly to Mumbai, has working 28 flights connecting Dubai to New Delhi weekly, 24 to Bengaluru, 21 to Chennai and Hyderabad, 14 to Kochi, 11 to Kolkata, and 9 and 7 to Ahmedabad and Thiruvananthapuram, respectively.
