Purple alert issued in south Indian state by Met Division

5 flights from the Center East sure for the Kozhikode Worldwide Airport has been diverted to Kochi airport resulting from dangerous climate.
The diverted flights embody Air Arabia from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, Air India Categorical from Abu Dhabi, Gulf Air from Bahrain and Qatar Airways from Doha.
Of those 4 flights (besides Qatar Airways) returned to Kozhikode airport because the climate situation in Kozhikode grew to become beneficial.
A pink alert was declared in 8 districts of Kerala on Thursday by the India Meteorological Division as heavy rain continued to lash the state.
Some districts had been put beneath pink alert, indicating heavy to extraordinarily heavy rains of over 20 cm in 24 hours.
